Our approach to aquavit is strongly influenced by the fact that we are a whisky producer. We mature all the different components in casks separately. Afterwards, we blend to bring out the best qualities in each component. The result is a cask-aged aquavit with a high concentration, clear herbal notes and a rich and well-balanced cask influence.
Rich and spicy
On the nose, you will find rich spice notes and citrus, and caraway gives an aromatic boost. And under the spice note, the cask adds aromas of cocoa, oxidized fruit, walnut and tropical fruit.
On the palate this aquavit is soft and rich, cask influence brings out chocolate, deep fruit, some dried flowers and anise. It offers a rich mouthfeel with dark berries, oat biscuits, citrus marmalade,and hints of angelica and finishes with caraway and baking spices.
Pair it with rich dishes. casseroles or roasted meat.
